I went to a Chicago Public School and graduated in 1998. Apparently, the school has closed and I am having trouble obtaining transcripts & a copy of my diploma... There is no listing of the school so I am so confused!!

Go to the district office. They will be able to provide the proof of your graduation even though the school has closed. I don't know if they can provide a copy of or duplicate of your diploma, but complete transcripts are generally considered proof of graduation. For example, colleges never request a copy of the diploma - just transcripts -for admission purposes.

The school may have closed but CPS is still going and records are available. Try this Chicago Public Schools : Former Student Records (http://www.cps.edu/About_CPS/Departments/Pages/StudentRecords.aspx)
