I am a foreigner in singapore. I made a bank loan of 10k SGD. And before I manage to even make the first payment, I made a runner back to my home country as I was involve in a case in singapore (dont ask me what case and what happen as it will create another question). I just want to know, will I be issued warrant of arrest and will singapore ask my home country to deport me back to attend court. As for the other case which made me run, consider it separate and settled. I need to know, because of a 10k loan which I never made the first payment and I vanished, will singapore ask for my home country to deport me back to face court?

Since you never made one payment and left the county, the bank may try to follow this up as a criminal fraud case. It is up to the bank.

There will not be a warrant if they merely sue you for the money, most likely you will not be allowed back into the country.

But it could appear you never intended to pay them, in which case it would be fraud and theft and they may issue criminal charges. And then yes issue a warrant.

Running away from any case, is never the answer, it only adds additional issues

Dear chuck,

Let say that they issue a warrant, does it mean that they will issue it to my home country and request me to be deported back to singapore to face the charges? So it means that the warrant is valid in my home country? Just for my knowledge, how high is the possibility for this to happen (bank loan 10k)?? I know it sounds stupid, but however stupid it sounds, I really appreciate your answer. Thanks in advance

I doubt it will happen.
Don't know what your home country is, If there is a warrant, and only for that small amount, I don't see them paying to have you returned, but they may report the warrant to your nation and it will be on file and hurt you in background checks
