I have been on the same birth control for about a year. Occasionally I will spot once or twice a month, if that. But this month is different. I have forgotten to take the pill before, but as directed I took it with the next pill the very next day. And all stayed normal. I would have my period on the placebo week and nothing went wrong. But this week, on Monday night, I started spotting. I thought it was just spotting and didn't bother with it. However, yesterday is got a little heavier. I still assumed it was a two day spotting. But yesterday afternoon is turned into my period. And I would know if it was not my period. I felt overly warm all day, my stomach is cramping really bad, etc. I missed my pill Monday night, but caught it back up Tuesday. But since it's happened before, I dismissed the skipped day as the problem. On top of that, I was spotting that day even before I was supposed to take the pill. And as of when I was supposed to start my period this month, I wasn't supposed to start until Saturday or Sunday at least. This has never happened before so I'm really worried that something is wrong.
I did have unprotected sex (aside from the birth control) two Saturdays ago and again two Mondays ago. So about two weeks ago. But even then, we were careful and he pulled out each time. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it, but since I am not that sexually active anymore, I figured I should add this fact.

Missing a day will do that, sometimes, with periods and pills, there is not a "always" just sometimes.

You may want to consult your doctor, or just continue the pills and see if next month starts back correct

Is there any chance that it could mean I am pregnant? Since it is only the second day of this surprise period, and even though it feels like it normally would, I don't know how heavy or light it will be or how long. Given the fact that it looks and feels very much like PMS, and that would be a good sign when it came to confirming I'm not pregnant, I'm still a little concerned that it could slip through and this could just be severe bleeding from possible agitation from sex. It has happened before(the agitation), but not quite like this. I've never been pregnant nor have heard of anyone becoming pregnant while on the pill, so I don't really know what to expect. Thank you for your speedy reply, by the way.
