I have a guy, who turns out to be my best friend. Before we became friends he stares a lot at me, and I do the same frequently. We attended the same school. He first approached me on my way to school, asking what time it was, when he already knew I wasn't with a wristwatch or phone. Before this time he stared a lot at me while in school, and he also stared at me while walking by. After a while we became close friends.

Then he started visiting my house occasionally. We played, chatted and moved together a lot, we became fond of ourselves, that his family members liked me very much, especially his mum and sisters. We usually discussed about girls, and our future wife and children. I at a period asked him to get married to my younger sister when he grew up, which he happily accepted. I got admission into university in the year 2011. When I returned for holidays he visited my house as usual, while in the sitting room, he looked at me and smiled and said I had a nice haircut and that 'GAY MARRIAGE' would fit me due to my feminine characters.

I returned from school during the late August 2012. During the September period we both visited his friend's place, and while on the couch, he used his leg to rub mine continuously and he stared at me. Early this month October 2012 I tweeted him I was coming to his place, he replied he will rather come over to my place I was alone in the house. While in my place, we both sat on the same couch, he then put his legs on my thigh and started romancing and scratching his manhood, while shifting his legs to mine, is it normal for a guy to put his legs on the thigh of another (we are both 16). Help please I am confused.

Your post was very difficult to read due to the run-on sentence structure but I wanted to address this:

is it normal for a guy to put his legs on the thigh of another

Normal? No straight guy I know would do something like this... and the crotch rubbing while having his legs on you? No.

Sounds like he's interested in you in a sexual way.

I have to ask, when he was rubbing your leg, and himself, what did you do? Did you say anything to him about it, or are you also interested in him?

And since you let him do it, he thinks you liked it and are interested,

You need to talk to him about it and tell him how you feel about it

No straight men do not act like this.

I think he is gay and interested and if you talk instead of wonder you would not be confused.

A straight guy would not do that because a straight guy would not want to be perceived as gay nor give the idea that he wants to have sex with another guy.

This is definitely a sexual come-on and if you aren't interested, you need to tell him very clearly that you only want to be friends and are not attracted either to him, or to men in general - whichever is true.
