HELP! We have been doing a lot of remodeling in our home and therefore have been doing a lot of stripping and staining of wood floors and wood work. After doing my laundry this weekend I realized that all of my clothes coming out of the dryer have a chemical smell on them. I have washed and dried some of the rags used in the remodeling process although I probably won't dry those again since I'm convinced that is the source of the problem. But how can I get rid of the smell?

I never got an answer to my question, but the awful smell was pretty short lived - only a day or two. I haven't washed any wood stain soaked rags since!
