Checked the battery it is fine, it is cranking over but it seems that the gas is not getting through. What could be the problem

If the Check Engine Light comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to Position II, then replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM. If you haven't replaced the distributor cap and rotor in the last 60,000 miles, then this is the ideal time to do it.
