Okay so I am 5ft 11 inches and 70 kg :(
I want to get down to 55 kg, just wondering what a suitable time would be for this as in how long will it take with just a 'eat healthy and exercise daily' diet.
I'm vegetarian and don't eat much, no breakfast, small lunch and small dinner with occasional snacks but I am still too heavy.. I have been running every 2 days but it hasn't seemed to have any effect yet.

OR..

Can anyone suggest any good diets/workouts that burn fat fast?

Thanks,

Emily Rae

First according to weight and height charts for a women, you are on the perfect weight now, So by all medical charts you should not be trying to lose any weight. Then why do you want to lose weight, is it a self image issue ?

Next the lowest weight recommended for your height is 62, anything under that would be considered unhealthy

Now a proper diet and exercise is needed by everyone, not to lose wight but to be healthy

So to be healthy

1. no fad diet, eat well balanced meals, even 5 or 6 smaller meals a day often works well.
Good breakfeast, strong lunch, lighter meals in evening.
** cut out processed foods as much as possible, stop using canned items, eat fresh veggies,
Stop using frozen meats and prepared foods. Cut out soda, if you do coffee, do it black or just little milk. Drinks lots of water.

2. exercise, depends on current shape, and what you like, walking and jogging and latter running is one of the best. Any sport, from Karate, to Swimming to soccor are all great.

I want to lose weight because even when I get toned from exercise, I still have bigger looking hips and thighs. So I figured if I actually lost weight through diet WITH exercise I might look better.

Thanks for the advise, I will start on the water and cut out processed foods, I will start swimming as well as running I think. Any idea how long it will take?

Thanks,
