I'm 20 years old , my last period was feb 7 and I never got one this month. I experienced a lot of morning sickness a few weeks after my period, I feel bloated constantly and sluggish and blah. My lower back aches I have on again off again headaches and my chest is off and on sore. Also I know even the healthiest women can be late and such with their period but I NEVER have with the exception of being pregnant with my son which was almost exactly 2 years ago that I found that out. I took a lot of pregnancy tests and got a positive 3 negatives and yesterday again a positive but today another negative. I kept taking more tests because when I was pregnant with my son I never got one positive test, I found out I was pregnant by ultasound. So anyway I'm hoping I am pregnant since I got my first positive and if I'm not I'm going to be very disappointed. Anyone got some thoughts or advice? Oh also the most important part the end of feb. I experienced some spotting a brownish discharge it wasn't much but it lasted almost a week.. I did go to the doctor and he asked me to bring him a sample of what it was and he says it deff. Was not my period.. so I'm extremely confused

I think you both need to go back to the doctor and get blood tests and complete physical.

I've been told I probably tested to early but my period is now 5 days late, shouldn't there be enough HCG in my urine to get a positive..?
I even tested one with the First Response and still got a negative.. so confused

I think the best thing for you to do would be to go to the doctor and request a beta HCG blood test (which is what they detect pregnancy with.) sometimes it is harder to detect pregnancy through the urine until you are further along. With the blood work they look for a specific level of hormone so it is easier to give you the yes or no answer you are looking for. It takes one day for the doctor to get the results back so the process is fairly quick.

shouldnt there be enough HCG in my urine to get a positive..???

The answer to this question is: Not usually after being only 5 days late. Five days is not really considered late in the medical field because there are other things such as many different stressors that can cause even the most regular woman to be late. Hcg only shows up in the blood at 1 week of gestation at a level of 5 - 50mlU/ml. So many times that still goes missed.

Try taking another test using first morning urine in another week, if that still shows negative you need to make a doctor's appointment to find out exactly what is going on.

I know it is hard to wait (I have been there 4 times), but unfortunately all of pregnancy is just a waiting game, isn't it?

I was just reading through the posts, and saw one of your questions was missed. So, in answer to your question " is vaginal wetness common in pregnancy?" Yes, vaginal wetness is common in pregnancy. (provided it isn't discolored, or foul smelling.) I have read that it is believed to be caused by the increased blood flow to the muscles around the vagina and skin, or something along those lines. Either way, it is normal. You may have more with some pregnancies then with others(which could be why you don't remember having it with the last pregnancy.) Good luck.

It is always hard to wait, many women take a test too early. It is best to wait at eleast 1 week after you miss your period, then test using the first urine you pass when you wake up in the morning, if that is negative and you still don't get your period, wait until you are 10 days late and ask the doctor to take a blood test. An increase in vaginal wetness is common in pregnancy, but it shouldn't smell bad or make you itch.
My daughter was 4 months pregnant before she got a positive result with urine tests, her hormones were slow to build up, this also happened with her second pregnancy, both babies were fine.
