Are they asking you for money?

Are they asking you for money?

He is from the States and went there on business that (supposedly) his Dad had going. He claims to have been robbed and beaten and everything stolen. Yes, he wants some clothing and money so he can return. He lives in IL. I am thinking of calling the hospital.

I'm thinking you are being scammed. This is one of the most common scamps on the Internet.

If you are not a family member the hospital will not tell you whether he is a patient.

Did you meet him on the Internet?

Yes, I met him on Match.com. That was the end of June. I have seen him on cam within his house and then when he went to Toronto on business and was in a Hotel room talking to me. Then he said he had to go to Accra for a few days and got stuck there and then the end of Sept. is when the robbery took place.

Yup. You are being scammed. This is big business in Ghana. People get rich there by preying on lonely people.

Yes, common scam, often they will contact the persons actual friends, they get into the Facebook or hack into email accounts and send emails that they are somewhere and need help.

This is not true, first if there was a problem like this, the US embassy there would help them, with emergncy ID, Papers to leave the country and more.

This one is not as common, normally they are in love with you, and on the way to the airport after you sent them money for passport and visa, they get robbed and in hospital.

But a very common scam,

Read some of my posts I had a chance to tour one of the business that do this, they hire dozens of people working three shifts a day, in a office building, They use fake or stolen ID, and often fake photo or photos from internet
