I was arrested a week ago by my daughter-in-law on domestic charges. Her 'statement' was incorrect and she 'embellished' things and the police found evidence to arrest me. It was devastating to say the least - considering the kids (with their baby) lived with my husband and I and we paid for EVERYTHING - including their two cars. By the way - they are 19 & 20. So, I've been arrested and my arraignment is next week. In the meantime I have been offered a great job and had to fill out criminal records check paperwork. My attorney KNOWS the charges will be dismissed. BUT, since I've only been arrested and haven't pled (not guilty - of course) will it show up on my crim check?
Signed, devastated mother.

Well if they were going to drop the charges they would not be having an arraignmnet, so I would not be so fast to believe that, since you said the police found evidence to arrest you. But I will leave that between you, the attorney and the court.

But no it does not show up on your record unless you are convicted ( unless you are going for a police, court or national security position) they can show up on the reports for those activities.

You've only been arrested, not convicted. So no, it will not show up on any background check. Legally you are innocent until proven guilty.
