Multifunction oscillating 1.6 amp
There must be something better than this machine. Something that is small, for
Working in tight places. Some sort of cutting wheel. This multifunction problem is the blades become so dull they smoke, when you are trying to cut a small thin piece of 1/2 wood very light duty. Is there something better that is small.
Some have told me a drexel

Nothing says 'you get what you pay for' more than those multifunction tools. The best one is by Fein and costs $350 and the blades are expensive too. By Drexel you might mean Dremel. I paid $45 for some nameless brand on eBay that works OK, but I agree that it can't cut much. You can buy expensive blades for your cheaper tool that will fit (lots of them on ebay). You can get 3" diamond oscillating round blades for your saw that might help, but you can't finish the cut against a wall unless you can get half the blade below the surface. You can get a Hackzall, which is a small Sawzall, and I love mine, it is easy to control and fits in small spaces, but isn't orbiting, it's reciprocating, so you have to hold it carefully. Use a metal blade on wood for neater, precise cuts because of finer teeth.

Not the tool, it's the blade. Harbor Freight"s blades not worth having. Try a different brand of blade. Yes, they are expensive. For that reason I reserve mine for situations other saws won't work.

Yes it is the blades. But where do they sell blades that will fit, other than Harbor Freight?
And what do they call them?

Home depot, Lowe"s, probably Sears and other places. My last ones were made by Imperial Blades, got a package of 5 blades at Woodcraft, about $32. I guess the proper name for them is Multitool blades.
