I've known this boy for 7 yrs.. he knows me good but we have never talked. Around summer.. this year.. u saw him and he smiled at me... it was his first smile to me after 7 yrs knowing me... now when ever he sees me he keeps on looking at me until I look then he smiles at me.. he makes it obvious that he was looking at me.. well now we have a class together and he never smiles at me at this class.. when were up close he never smiles he doesn't even look at me... I really like him.. but does he also like me or he does this smiling thing because he knows me? (he's shy around girls)

How old are you, and how old is he?
We don't know what he's feeling of course, but it sounds good so far... it can't hurt to say hi in passing, without stopping, maybe turn around to see if he has stopped and turned around, and then smile and keep going. Do that for a week or so and see what happens. If you get the sense that he is responding, start adding little comments about the day or class or what he's wearing, maybe even a question that only needs a short answer, like 'do you like that teacher' or something. Sooner or later he has to either let you know he likes it and will do the same, or he doesn't.
