Hi, I have been looking for two made for TV movies since I was a kid. I saw them numerous times in the mid 1980s on TV but can't remember their names or find them anywhere. I believe they are both based on true stories. Here is my best shot at their plots:

1.) A young couple adopt two kids (girl and boy). You get glimpses that the kids were severely abused. It becomes obvious the girl is mentally ill like personality disorder or attachment reactive. She is only 6-9 yrs old (can't remember) but she is a master manipulater. Eventually the parents catch on and she gets more violent. She tries to kill her younger brother by bashing his head into the concrete floor but the parents pull her off in time. She also sets the place on fire. Eventually they they get the girl to a therapist that does some therapy that requires holding the girl down... in retrospect it may have been some sort of rebirthing therapy. Anyway they have a breakthrough and the girl starts getting better in the end.
2.) A boy is kidnapped by a man at a young age and the movie elludes to sexual abuse. For some reason I think the man and boy lived in a trailer. The boy grows up and is very dependent and bonded with the man. The man gets the boy, now 16 or 17 to help him kidnap a new young boy. The teen helps the man but begins to bond with the new little boy and remember that he two was kidnapped. Eventually the teen saves the young boy and they both escape. I think the original boys remembers his name was Jason or Justin. This one I am more certain was a true story because my mom talked about remembering reading things about it in the news.

Any help out there would be much appreciated! Thanks

I just got the answer to number 2. It is "I know my First Name is Stephen." it came out in the late 80s not mid 80s like I thought. Probably the same for number one as well.

The first sounds like Child of Rage (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103955/)
