The door mullion contacts the outside surface of the opposing door when closing.
Is there an adjustment to correct this problem?

Yes, loosen screws holding hinge and reposition door and then re-tighten screws.

I have an LG. Are you trying to close the doors simultaneously?

You do realize that double fridge doors are supposed to be closed one at a time... If they had to close with the 2 angles meeting, they would have to be further apart and there would have to be a partition down the middle to cover the gap.

I've since returned to the store where I purchased this item. I've noticed that the mullion on the "display" model definitely rests and alligns differently than the unit I have purchased. I was hoping to correct the problem myself, however the store manager suggests I contact LG for service rather than risk voiding my warranty.

Thanks for everyone's feedback, much appreciated.

I do not see how you could void any warranty. Adjusting the doors is a task the installer should have done.

If it's an appliance store, they should come out.
If it's a big box hardware store like Home Depot, no. But LG has a pretty responsive phone staff.
