Monday I noticed that my ten week old pitbull puppy had blood in his stool, so I took him to the vet - He had a fecal test done and it was determined that he had A single hook worm in his intestinal track. They gave us a syringe with some yellow medicine to give him and a six day supply of some deworming medicine. Well, yesterday evening he was up and playing; very hyper and loving on the kids. Then last night I noticed he hadn't touched his food all day. So I figured he was just tired out and let him sleep. At around 1am this morning he woke up hacking, to the point of throwing up.. It was clear, sometimes with mucous, and had bubbles all in it. (I read online it meant his stomach was empty.) I tried to get him to eat, he wouldn't. Today, he has slept ALL day. Will NOT eat anything. I am having to force him to drink water by spooning it in my hand and letting him sniff my hand until he drinks the water. I called the vet and they fear it may be Parvo but I can not afford the test. ): I love my baby and I am so worried... Anyone else had this issue?

If you love your baby, you going to have to find a way to afford the test -- ask the vet for an easy-payment plan or work out the bill through a barter system. If it's parvo, your pup will probably not survive without expert vet knowledge and care.

Did you have the funds to deal with things like this when you brought this puppy home? What changed?
