I have a vertical pipe coming up from the basement rather than a horizontal pipe from the wall. How should I connect the sink drainage? Should I place a tee in the vertical pipe and cap the top of the vertical pipe. Or should I place a 90 degree angle into the vertical pipe from the basement and connect the sink drainage to that 90 degree elbow. Which would you feel would be better for future repairs, etc?

Ya got to give me more then this.
Should I place a tee in the vertical pipe and cap the top of the vertical pipe. What vertical pipe? Stack? Just a pipe sticking up out of the basement floor? And if I s would that pipe be capped or is it a direct connection between the sewer and your house?
To connect with a vertical pipe you would cut in a sanitary tee. You would use a tee because you would come off the top end of the tee with a vent for the sink. Let me know how it goes. Good luck, Tom
