I purchased one (1) Oil Painting 30 x 40" by RIGGS, w. cust. frame in ca. 1978. the limited biographical information on the back sheet of the canvas reads; "After studying in New York and Paris, Riggs has developed a unique abstract expressionist style, characterized by a careful orchestration of vibrant color expressing a private visual poetry. The heavy impasto creaes a sensuously sculptural feeling seldom achieved in painting. Riggs has had one-man shows in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Paris. The work appears in many galleries and private collections throughout Europe and America.

Further Internet research found a Robert Riggs who is known for his circus, street, and sprot scenes, nor is he the artist Chris Riggs. After extensive Internet research, I have not had any real success in finding anything about hm and his work.

I would greatly appreciate any information anybody can offer. I can be reached at my email- [email protected] or at 312-307-0028.

Thank you.
