Again since I hear this from so many people.. so don't take it personal.

How could you know exactly when you ovulated since women are very inconsistent on that from one person to the next?

Next yes its possible anyway because you had sex... thats all it takes, protected or not, the only thing that changes are the statistical odds of it occurring. You are NEVER 100% safe unless you never have ANY form of it.

Take a test in the next few weeks, maybe you took it too soon, and maybe you really aren't and just late.. Do it first thing in the morning with the first pee of the day.. otherwise you won't get an accurate result.

You ovulate 2weeks on the first day of your last period don't you plus I have this app on my phone which showed when I ovulated:) do you think I should buy a clearblue test or stick to the cheap ones? Ive never missed not even once I've always been on time

That's a false belief.. and that app is absolutely worthless for MOST women, because most women will NOT actually ovulate when your APP thinks you should be.. unless you just happen to be one of the few who actually DO ovulate at that time.. which you can't know without a keeping a basal temp chart.

Those apps are barely more accurate than the ones that claim to pick winning Lottery numbers for you.

EVERY woman will be late from time to time... stress, health and a lot of factors can delay it... no matter how regular you usually are. 5 days isn't really all that late. However wait another week and take another test... I don't know the quality and origin of the cheap tests you might have available, but if the Clearblu isn't much more for you, get that. I'm thinking you might get your period in the next week... but if you don't get it by the time you are a month late (testing once a week to keep your costs if not anxiety levels down) and still test negative... it might be time to visit your doctor to find out what might be wrong.

Remember you take these tests right after you wake up the very first time you pee in the morning... or they won't be as accurate.

No, women do not ovulate on a certain day based on their period, that is a myth. Some do, the only way to know real ovulation dates is by following temp and other means your doctor will work with you on. Those phone apps and online ovulation estimates are a joke and not real for the majority of women.

So, lets start over, you have no idea of when you ovulated, you were using a false myth to guess. You and your boyfriend had sex, I will assume unprotected.

You can still be pregnant, since pregnancy is possible any day of the month, even during period, although the odds or percent chance is much less on other days.

It is too early to test since I assume 5 days is from the day it was suppose to start, and you need to wait about a week after your period would have been over. So wait another week.
You will need to do it early in the morning with the first urine of the day
