Hello Doctor/Prof. I'm from Malaysia. I have just finished consuming isotretinoin yesterday for 7 months period. I take 10mg of isotretinoin daily for 1st month till 5th month and for the 6th month till 7th month I take 10mg of isotretinoin once in two days. The question is, can I take vitamin A supplement 5000 IU per day in present or should I wait for months before I can take this vitamin A supplement. Actually, I want to take multivitamin supplement that consists of vitamin A, C, and E as well as other ingredients such as grape seed and selenium which are good for skin and to prevent my acne from reoccuring. Now my face is free from acne except scars or effects from acne. I am a first year medical student and in the future I would like to specialize in dermatology. Can you give good explanation about this issue?
