Okay. Me and my husband are trying to have a baby I have never been on birth control or anything. My last period was only 2 days long. This period was five days late and is a heavy period. I have been feeling sick everyday and always hungry and my boobs are sore. I took a test saying negative. But my periods are always regular almost like clock work and always last 5-7 days so why are they being weird

I can't give a reason as to why your period is being weird, but I can offer some suggestions. Perhaps you're having more sex, and your body is getting accustomed to it, or you're stressed out because you're trying to conceive (TTC)?

Having a late, then heavy period USUALLY just means it was late. Your boobs can get sore when you're menstruating and when you're pregnant. If the test says negative, you can try again the following morning with your first urine of the day and see what that says. Periods can be very finnicky but it doesn't SOUND like, based on your symptoms, that you're pregnant. *BUT* that isn't fact so don't take my word for it - take another test in the morning. If you really want to know, even though it sounds like you're having a regular period, test again in one week's time and/or go to the doctor and do a urine test there.

If you do go to the doctor, get some literature/brochures about fertility and good practices to keep in mind when you're Trying to conceive.

Have you started a new job, started exercising a lot more/less, changed your eating habits or just feel generally stressed because you're trying to have a baby? Those could all affect your cycle. Remember to eat healthy and exercise as much as you can; that helps with fertility. If you have any more questions let me know!
