Do you have something in writing from them indicating the reason for termination? If so, what does it say, verbatum?

? I'm guessing ghat's not word for word what it says. We're talking legalities here, so the exact language is important.
What do you have? If it's on a form, what is the name of the form? In the area for the reason for the termination, what, exactly (word-for-word), does it say?

I asked those questions thinking it would help our legal experts help you better... but I still think more info is needed.
So the medical reason itself was not stated at all? What "medical issue" are they talking about? Surely you know or can guess.
Personally, I think that it sounds like there is a potential good case... but I am positive that yet more info will be needed (about your employment there, how long, if there was a medical issue of yours that they knew about, whether you ever any warnings from them or discussions about your condition, etc.).
We've got legal experts online on and off every day but anyone, even an attorney you've hired, is going to need a lot more than you're saying to give you some answers as to whether you have a good case or not.

Ok, what is your job, if for example you were a police officer ( as a friend of my was) and ended up on treatment three times a week, leaving him to weak to continue. So he had to be let go.
If you for example load boxes for UPS and broke your arm, you could be let go, or at least laid off till you were well.
The situation is that if there is some accomidation that the firm can do, that is within budget reason, then they have to for a perminant disability (but not a temporary one)
So we need to know what your medical reason was, what your job was, what the requirements of the job, was your medical reason temporary or not, and how long you had worked for this company.
And even where you are at, since if you are in Frace or England the rules are a lot different than in the US.

If your medical condition put you at risk or others who worked with you, at risk, then yes, you could be terminated. But without knowing exactly what you are talking about, no one can give you the information you are seeking.

As indicated there is too little information here for us to give advice. I sincerely doubt that a separation notice has one line on it. We also need to know the type of job you have, what the medical condition is etc.
Generally it is against the law to discriminate on the basis of a disability. But that's assuming the disability does not prevent you from doing the job you were hired to do.
If you want us to help you you have to be more forthcoming and detailed. Otherwise I susggest you consult and workplace attorney.
