About 2 weeks ago I noticed small red bumps either side of my vaginal hole and they hurt even when sitting but more when touched but I think its because my bum cheeks or theighs or something are rubbing up against them when I sit down because I don't feel it when I stand up but they went away until last night and now there back (I think they went away not sure I just forgot about them because I didn't feel pain no more). I did have oral sex with a boy about a month ago now but he swears to me that he has never done anything with anyone else before and he don't seem like the type of person who would anyway but I'm very very concerned now that its came back. I heard you could get pimples down there, is that what it could possibly be? And if so when will it go away? Thank you for answering xx

Hiya! Right, so there's a couple different things this could possibly be. Do your thighs rub together when you walk, or are you a "bigger" girl? Sometimes bigger girls get chafing in that area much easier and look like ingrown hairs. I'm more concerned that these particular bumps are on your vulvar region (vaginal hole), because anything around there is usually not a good sign. Here's a couple other possibilities:

- You could be having an allergic reaction to your laundry detergent.

- That particular boy could be lying, don't rule that out, it could possibly be an STD.
Remember you can get genital herpes if someone has an open cold sore on their mouth during oral sex.

- You could be having an auto-immune reaction to something, like stress or other kinds of health problems.

There are too many variables about your current health, age, health history and sexual history to be able to tell you over an internet forum. Your best bet is to go to the doctor straightaway. If you're a teenager, don't be afraid to speak to the doctor alone if you don't want your parents in the room. Good luck!

I have had A LOT of stress lately like majorly a lot. Im aged 16, that boy was the only person id ever done anything with so I am still a virgin, I suffer with moderate depression, I'm underweight and I can't think of anything else that might be important, I REALLY need some piece of mind about this because I was thinking about going to the sexual health clinic to take some tests and I really really really don't want to tell my parents I really don't want to.

Totally understandable that you don't want to tell them. Are you in England? I think there are ways you can go to these clinics (tell your folks you're going to the shop or whatever and go to the clinic instead) and they can keep your information confidential. Don't freak out too much, you won't know until you get checked out. Remember, vaginas are very finnicky, so it could be nothing. Try to find the number for one of those places, call and speak to a secretary there and see what they can do about keeping it confidential.
