My husband is non biological father of 15 year old girl, but was married to her mother when she was born and signed birth certificate. Mother left child with him at age 3 and they divorced. He has full custody. We have been married and her "parents " for 7 years but now she is badly defiant and won't follow our rules and wants to live with bio mom who says she will take her. What will happen if bio mom tries to get support (husband has been custodial parent and sole support since she left him with the child, and if she takes her we believe it it abiut time SHE be responsible as a mother and support the child)

The Court isn't going to get involved with why your husband never asked for support from the non-custodial parent. The Court is only going to consider the mother's request for support of the child now.

There was no Order for the mother to support the child. Therefore, she was under no LEGAL obligation.

I understand your frustration. Is there a Court Order that your husband is the custodial parent? If not, there should be an Order before the child returns to the mother or this situation will bounce back and forth - child here, child there.

A Court needs to address this.

If the mom goes to court and is awarded custody, the court will also rule that your husband will pay child support.
