Hi,
I just moved and do not have a regular doctor at my new location yet. A couple weeks after I moved I started having a very irregular heartbeat. I went to urgent care and they could not do anything so I went to the ER and they told me that I was having pvc's. The doctor said they were normal and harmless so I went home. I have still been having the pvcs three weeks later. They happen several heart beats in a row for several minutes at a time. Sometimes I think I am having pvcs more than regular heart beats. I have been trying for the past few weeks to get an appt with a family doctor to do a follow up but have not been able to yet. My heart is still beating irregularly but a few days ago it started feeling different but I can't really explain how. It just does not feel the same as the pvcs. It has been happening most of the day. I don't have any other symptoms other than the heartbeat. I just don't know if I should be worried or if I should go back to the ER since I can't get a doctors appt. Any insight you could give me would be great! Thank you!

We can see palpitations in health people as well, it happens during the day several times and we generally don't feel it. But you are saying that you are feeling ıt very often. Then ı recommend you to go a cardiologist. Are you using any medications? This will be the side effect of some drugs.

I sympathize with being unable to easily find a family doctor in your new town. I live in a rural area with the same problem. I would go to the ER and after being seen, ask for a referral.

We can't possibly advise online about your palpitations, with so much that can be normal and harmless vs serious.
