A mother of a 13 yr old is not sure her son received the tetanus shot last year even though it was recorded that he did. Would it be safe to give the shot again this year? To Be sure the child's has received it? Any risks?

If the record suggest they did indeed get the shot it is straightforward to test them.
Giving a second shot so close it not advisable.

Thanks for your helpful reply! The record sent to school shows it was done. The mother, though, clearly remembers the Dr. suggesting to wait one year. Thus the insecurity. How long should you recommend to give it again?
