My son was arrested at 17 for graffiti. Because it is $200+ damage it is up to 1 year. We could not afford bail. He served 1 month & then the judge agreed to rehab for one month. After those 2 months the judge ordered him on probation for 1 year. We did everything for about a month, but it was so much. Five days a week I was driving, spending, etc. My son could not take the pressure. He left. After 3 weeks he was arrested. He is again in jail about 2 weeks now and our "probation hearing" is in 2 weeks. We,again, cannot afford bail. My son wants to pay his debt with jail time. He has no means (transportaion, money, etc.) to do probation. But, he was not using drugs while staying with friend for that 3 weeks with warrant out on him. He really wants to change his life. I wish he did not have to get 10+months. How can he and/or I ask the judge for what we want.

Find the money and hire a really good lawyer... because he ran and had a warrant out for three weeks they are going to rightfully throw the book at him.

They can still order restitution... even with the jail time.

Hello g:

Smoothy is right... With a GOOD attorney, he shouldn't do ANY time...

Putting people in jail for PAINTING is almost as stupid as putting them in jail for what they smoke...
