I allowed a friend to store a vehicle @ my home with the understanding it would only be A my home for 3 weeks. It has been 3 months. I have called , left messages & contacted mutual friends to find out where she is living. No one knows where she is. What is my legal obligation to her & how do I legally remove this vehicle off my property?

Abandoned vehicles aren't easy to deal with. Some people just push them onto the street (if unlocked) and then report them as abandoned in the road. Otherwise you have to go by the abandoned property laws of your locale, which would ordinarily be 30 or 60 days. The police station will know. You may have to send a certified letter/return receipt requested to her last known address giving her 30 or 60 days since you write the letter. It doesn't matter if she is living there or not. Include charges for storage and towing, in case she tries to sue you someday. Then pay to have the car towed to a police storage lot, if your town has one. In many places the towing company has a lot for which they charge a daily rate and are allowed to own the car after X number of days or dollars owed.

If you have a key, hang onto it. She could show up any time. Document every thing you do.
