I am new to desinging web sites so please help. I was asked to make a website for a small business and I am wondering how much to charge. The site is not very flashy and is just straight forward. The site is for a company that is not making large amounts of money so should I charge by the hour or just charge her a flat rate and then next site that I build charge by the hour? I could use some help on this people. If you want to check out the site it is www.savythings.com

Basically this all depends on the time that you put into it and how much your time is worth to you. I can get a website done for $200 and I can find someone else to do the same webiste for $20,000 with hundreds of people that will do it for an amount in between there

In my experience, companies will pay a premium when it comes to their business. I'm not sure what you are comfortable with or even where you are. I suggest between $40 and $120 an hour depending on your level of expertise and marketability.

I live in a small farming based community so people don't have a lot of money. I talked to a friend and he suggested to charge be the page. The lady that I am doing the page for seems to feel that she is getting a good deal and it moves pretty fast to. Thanks for the help everyone.
