I have a Montgomery Wards Signature Elite 2000 Riding Mower with a 42 inch cut and an 18 HP Briggs and Stratton engine. I believe the Model Number is TMO33942 A and the Serial Number under the seat is 37 002 7538. I can mow my 1/2 acre yard perhaps twice, within a two week time, but when I try to start it again in a day or two it will barely crank over. The Battery is new, The lights are not hooked up so there is no drain in that respect. I thought that if I had a wiring diagram, I might be able to fix it myself and save a little money, as I am an old fart and am on a limited income. I need HELP!
Thanks Darl "Pete" Mills

Have the battery tested. I have seen new car batteries that are defective so this is possible too.

Hi,
My guess is a blown diode, but that said here is an link to the manual and page 23 is the wiring schematic.
