I am getting ready to install a hanging pendant light, it has a chain I want to hook up the wires to the existing electrical source from a ceiling fan, then hang the portion of the chain holding the pendant to a ceiling hook to center the pendant. Is a toggle hook sufficient for this. The lamp is approximately 10-15 pounds also what is the recommended height from table top for pendant. Thanks

10-15# is very heavy IMO. I would only use a hook into a ceiling joist.

Recommended height above the table is 30-36" to the bottom of the fixture, so that the bulk of the fixture is at average eye level.
