I had a vacuum aspiration 2 weeks and 1 day ago at 6 weeks pregnant. For the first 2 days I bled very little but 3-7 days after I passed quite a lot of blood, perhaps just a bit more than my normal period. I stopped bleeding about 8-9 days after the procudure. I took the full course of antibiotics that I was given to prevent infection. All pregnancy symptoms have disappeared. A few days after this I felt I was ready to resume a sexual relationship with my boyfriend (12 days after the procedure) we used a condom (I'm currently not on any other form of birth control) and we double checked it hadn't broken etc. 1 and a half days after we had sex I noticed some light brown water when I wiped. This last about 2 hrs on and off and now there's nothing at all. Is this normal? I don't want to get pregnant again and am trying to work out the best form of contraception. I obviously don't want the brown discharge to be implantation bleeding because I am aware that I could get pregnant again as soon as 2 weeks after an abortion. Is the discharge just old blood that my uterus has expelled after sex or do you think it could be something else? I would appreciate any help, but please, no judgement comments about having an abortion, it was a very hard decision and my boyfriend and I have our reasons for doing so.
