You probably can. It usually takes couples aprox 8 months to get pregnant. If you are really concerned, go to the dr.

Where did you get these statistics? Can you show your source? From all the literature I've read it takes the average couple 1-2 years to conceive once they start actively trying. I'd really like to see the literature that says it takes 8 months.

For the OP (original poster), when did you lose your baby? When did you give birth? After giving birth it takes the body many months to recuperate. Most women will not start their menstrual cycle for many months, sometimes over a year (depending on their body and whether they're breastfeeding) after giving birth. It's the body's way of protecting itself from back to back pregnancies which aren't good for your body, or the baby.

Your body just went through pregnancy and birth. It may just be too soon to start trying again, and it really is something you should discuss with your doctor.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and I wish you all the best.
