In March this year I had an dermoid cyst surgery. The cyst was inflamed so I had constant fever up to 37.5 C. After the surgery until now I’m having fever up to 37.5 C but only at night, every night. Doctors said that the cyst is fully taken out. I’m looking for some other posible health problems. I had blood test just recently and everything was OK except for my MPV fl which is 5,5 and that's lower than normal. Please advise me what to check. And should I worry about the MPV fl.
Thanks in advance.

Before jumping to conclusions about your MPV reading, discuss it with your doctor, you can't determine yourself if anything is amiss. Platelet count reading is used for many reasons. If you are not a healthcare professional, then your platalet count would not mean very much to you.

Normal body temp is between 36 and 37, depending on how its taken, so basically you did not have a fever.

Dr says that my MPV reading is not to wory about , considering that my other blood parametars are OK.

But having 37.5 is not OK. She and another dr agreed with that. And I don't feel quite comfortable with the fever. I feel like my eyes are burning and sometimes gives me hedaches

My dr don't have much ideas for the cause. I'm curently waiting on results for worms. Because I have a dog she thought that I might have :-)

Please if you have any suggestions advise me

Then, what body temp do they consider normal, if you body temp is not considered normal when in most adults, an oral temperature above 37.8°C (100°F) or a rectal or ear temperature above 38.3°C (100.9°F) is considered a fever.

Sorry, no suggestions. We can't suggest or advise or diagnose on AMHD as it is very difficult to do over the internet.

Worms may be a stretch, just because you have a dog, I don't imagine you would come in contact with his rectum, or your food would become in contact with his body. Where do you live, what country ?

In a civilized communiy, worms in a human is almost unheard of, unless their hygiene is in question.

I forgot to mention that 37.5 is a result of axilary or underarm measurement and I think that up to 37 is normal.

I don't think that I have worms but she had a case just like me few years ago so that's why shy put me up to it
