About three months ago my pump in my 700' well failed. The driller came out and replaced both pump and motor resetting the pump at about 550', well below the static waterline. Shortly thereafter I began getting a lot of silt in my lines (brown particles) along with air when facet turned on. After a month the air was no longer occurring. Silt still present but much less than when new pump and motor installed.
However I noticed that the pump seems to raise the pressure back to 63psi much slower than in the past. Additionally when my sprinkler system is operating the pressure drops to c. 20 psi and sits there suggesting something isn't right down below. Normally the pump comes on at 42 psi and turns off at 62 psi. My sprinkler system intercepts the inbound water pipe before the pressure tank (bladder) so its not a problem with my filters or tank itself. Any ideas what my problem is? The pump and motor are under warranty along with labor for the next several months. Jim
