My 14 year old daughter had an incident at school today. It started when she said she felt very warm and difficulty breathing. She decided to go get a drink. She said she felt better walking down the hallway. When she returned to class she still felt very warm and still had difficulty breathing. Then her vision got blurry and then it felt like her hands and throat were tingly and vibrating. Then she couldn't concentrate and she could hear people but they seemed like they were far away and she tried to put her pencil in the pencil case but couldn't seem to close it, felt like I was swaying back and forth and felt like I was going to fall over. She is currently feeling more normal but still says she feels like it is a chore to breath and is feeling over heated. Any idea's what could be causing this. She is normally very healthy and has no medical conditions and takes no medication.

She needs to see a Physician. It would be irresponsible to attempt to diagnose her over the Internet.

It could be anything from an infection to a mini-seizure.

I will be rude for a moment, this happened and you did not rush her to doctor, or urgent care facility ? Please.

Anyone here would be very wrong in trying to say what could be wrong since this requires medical attention.

** It can be breathing issues, chemical imbalance in body, nerve impulse issues.

Is she eating properly, or has she had sudden weight loss

Has she fallen and had any head trauma,

Is she eating good balanced meals.

Is there undue stress in her life.

Is she sexually active ( not that you would know anyway)

New friends, possible drug use ?

I find it hard to believe that the teacher didn't send her to the nurse's office. The nurse would have called the parents to take her to the Dr. immediately. Difficulty breathing is not something a school would ignore.
