Hello, I'd like to know what kind of insect makes the sound of wood in motion. I've researched it constantly but found no answer.

Thank you.:)

I guess I am not sure what "wood in motion" sounds like.

If someone threw a chunk of wood at me from behind I don't think I would hear it coming.

:) :o

Can you be more specific?

Is this a riddle? "insect wood in motion" on Google returns this page as the #1 hit so I'm suspecting that this isn't the common way to describe this sound. Since we're talking about insects and wood might I suggest termites as a possibility?

There is a site that you can listen to various insects doing various things - maybe you can find your answer there:

Insect Behavior and Biocontrol Research Unit : Sound Library (http://www.ars.usda.gov/pandp/docs.htm?docid=10919)
