Okay, so I pulled a bone-headed move. I had a migraine last night and about 10:00 (9/10) I took one hydrocodone 10 325 from an old prescription without even thinking. This morning I remembered that I may be going in for a pre employment urinalysis as early as today (9/11). This is the only one I have taken since April of 2011 when I was recovering from hernia surgery. What are the chances of this showing up? I am male, 42, 5'10", 172 pounds. Thanks.

If this is a standard pre-employment (5 panel) hydrocodone will not show up. This is due to the sensitivity of panels used. Pre-employment can test only for illegal drugs and not prescription per ADA rules.

That changes once you are offered the position.

There is one problem with hydrocodone. While it cannot be identified on a 5 - panel it can cause a false positive for opiates.
