Hello to everybody!
This may sound weird but I have searched deep on the internet and I can't find a single clue about this one. It's a song I have partially taped from a radio broadcast and I am most certain it belongs to the 80's (perhaps early 90's?) era that I kept all this time and regularly come back to for a session of pure joy of listening, as I can't seem to have enough of it. Incredbly, until this day I have never ever heard this song anywhere: radio, cd, dvd, film, tv-series, etc. Good memories and feelings associated to it make this one a real heart breaker yet incredibly soothing.
The trouble is I am not able to match the male/female singer's voice to any other I know of and a search for the remaining lyrics turns up with no results. So, perhaps anyone here could have listened to or remembers this song? Any help or direction would be very much appreciated as this is a very special song I am trying to get to a very special person...
The lyrics (as far as I can understand) are as follows:
(male vocal)
Here is a heart without a hope
Living day to day
You're in my mind, you're in my soul
With every breath I take
I never thought that we
Would drift too far apart
I never should have let you go
Your love is the only thing I know
(female vocal)
I see you passing me by
And I reach out my hand
I miss the passion, I miss your touch
And everything we had
I want to close my eyes and open the to you
I didn't want to go away, I only need to hear you say
(chorus)
If you need me tonight, give me one little chance
Open your heart to me, give me one single chance
Look in my eyes and see, just what you have done to me
(duet)
You are the sun where there is rain, warming me inside
Yours are the arms that heal the pain, when I am not around
We had it all before, We'll get it back I swear
There's nothing that I wouldn't do, I only want to be with you
(Repeat chorus)
Baby, can I get you back in my life
I want you back
(Repeat chorus)
