I am 300lbs at 9w6d I had an ultra sound that showed the babies heart beat. At 13w5d the doctor could not find the heart beat on doppler though he didn't really look very hard. After having migrains and vomitting, I have felt a decrease in fetal movement also the weather has been much cooler too. Should I be worried... or am I worrying uselessly?

Fetal heartbeat is usually detected between 11-12 weeks gestation.

It could be that you're not as far along as you thought, but you mentioned fetal movement, which is not detectable at 13 weeks, and that's not a good sign. Fetal movement is usually detected closer to 20 weeks gestation.

What did your doctor say? The next step should be an ultrasound to determine what's going on.

This is my 4th child and I have felt fetal movement, I know what it is. The fetal heartbeat was detected by ultrasound just not by doppler which the doctor told me it was early yet and cause I am overweight it would be harder to detect. I do still feel movement but its not as often... and my earlier ultrasound confirmed my exact gestation. So when I say I am 15w3d I am.
