Hi everyone
I want to connect my laptop to the internet by wireless , the wireless in my work place work properly but I can't see it on my laptop so how to connect to it? How to know that the wireless in my laptop is enabled ?

As this is company wireless you're better off asking your local IT people as you will need the encryption key.

Well, I know the name and the password... my friend can connect properly but I don't know what's the problem with my laptop...

May well be using newer encryption that is not supported by your machine.
I assume you have turned the wireless on ?

No idea as I don't know what machine you have.
Check to see if there are any wifi buttons on the sides and also the software keys Fn + F2 is quite normal.

It's dell inspiron n5110 and I tried the keys Fn+F2 but nothing changed...

OK, if you go to Start and the search for "Wireless".
Select the option for Manage Wireless Networks to see if any have been added.
You can check hardware and other settings here.
I does sound like there's an issue with your wireless connection.

Most laptops have a universal wireless symbol that lights up blue when wireless is turned on.
The process for enabling Wifi is on page 13-14 of the Product manual. If you don't have a hard copy, a PDF is probably installed on the laptop.
Once the WiFi light is lit up. You should be able to use the WiFi connection on the right side of the Taskbar to connect.
