I have a 1997 toyota camry LE (4 cyl automatic) The car died while running down the road and the check engine light came on just before it quit. At first there was a loss of power, it dropped from 2,000rpm to 1,000rpm that lasted 30-40 sec then it returned to 2,000rpm and full power. After a min it dropped back down to 1,000rpm then back up again. It did this several times before dropping to 1,000 then 0rpm. It would't restart and the fuel pump wasn't working either at that point. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. But, the car still won't start up again. The engine does turn over and the fuel pump can be heard priming the fuel lines. There is good fuel pressure coming out of the new fuel filter and the EFI relay was also replaced. The fuses are all checked and good. The spark plug wires were checked and showing a spark. What else can I do to get the car running again?
