I am a 21 year old female. I did not become sexually active until I was 17. I am 5'8" and weight aprx. 250lbs. I met my husband when I was 17, and around that time I stopped having periods. They were always inconsistent. I am worried. I was put on birth control, and I bled heavily for a month, so I quit taking it. I was not able to work and bleed like that. I was told I have very small cysts on my ovaries. But what about my hormones? Are cysts caused from lack of hormones? Is there a way I can do hormones without seeing a doctor? I just don't know what to do.
Also, I haven't had a period in 3 years since the birth control.
