Stuck on this: Unit has equal pressures when it starts up... compressor does not sweat even from common suction... the reversing valve selenoid clicks but does not switch... I know pressures along with 24v switch the reversing valve... but it seems valves are bad in compressor? Any help would be great! Thanks Brian

From what you said it seems the valves are out of the compressor or the compressor is not pumping. If you have an amprobe you check the current draw and see if it is to low. If you have the required EPA license you can attach guages and see what the operating pressures are. If no pressure it is compressor or new unit time.

I recommend replacing the unit since it will have at least a 5 year warranty and some carry a 10 year warranty. Talk to your local HVAC company and get a bid for repair or replacement.
