View Full Version : How long till you get out of jail for violating probation and running from it ?

Okay, so I had a friend who was from Tampa,Florida . He was on probation for smoking weed, he violated his probation , and came down to Newjersey, in newjersey he got arrested for an arguiment at the boardwalk . They found all his files and they shipped him back to Florida, will he get out and how long will it be till he gets out ? HELP!

They will likely send him back for the entire remainder of his sentence... the fact he ran from it after violating means they are rightfully going to throw the book at him.
He will also pssibly serve additional time for the other arrest as well.
He can ask his lawyer because he's going to need one anyway.

And what do you mean remainder of his sentence?

Usually the Parol is a portion of that sentence... if you violate parol you go back to jail and serve that entire amount... with the probation there was a sentence given with the alternate of probation.. since that probation was violated, he gets to serve that full amount of time behind bars.
Of course that's all up to the descretion of the judge... but with him having fled.. odds are they won't go easy on him.
