Bought a hunter ceiling fan, installed it as per the instructions, fan and light didn't work. Returned the fan and exchanged for another. Same issue with the new one... checked and have power from the ceiling box to the receiver but not out. Wiring diagram on receiver in order is; white (common out), black (live in ), white (common in), red (fan), black w white (lights). Is it possible that white wires are labelled incorrectly? Wouldn't it make sense to have the hot in and common in wires beside each other in the receiver... and the 3 "out to fan/light" wires beside each other/ If so what could happen if I switch the two white wires and connect them?
