I just had my transmission replaced and now my O/D light and check transmission light are coming on intermittently. I have taken it back to the transmission shop twice both times they seem to not know what is going on, the last time they felt it was some heat solenoid that had a bad wire so they replaced it. We have driven the truck for a couple weeks now going sometimes 100 miles at a time and the light never came on. After parking it the last time I drove it I got in the next moring and the lights were on when I started it. After searching the web I see this is a typical problem with these vehicles but I can't seem to find a solution. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this problem solved?

Check for codes.

There are no codes. The vehicle doesn't seem to be having any transmission problems, it can be cold or hot when the o/d & check transmission lights come on. Also the 4 x 4 light flashing 8 times off and on. There seems to be no explainable reason for the lights coming on and going out. I am taking it back to the transmission shop for the 3rd time and I was hoping to help pinpoint a reason for this problem since they seem stumped as well.
