Well my best friend liked this guy before I even met him and over the summer and when school started her feelings for him came back. Well when I saw him it was like oh wow he's cute so I was excited to have another guy friend in our circle but I started to develop feelings for him and I just fou d out that he likes me too! He asked me to the homecoming dance and even though I felt bad about hurting my friend I said yes and he is really happy I said yes. When I told my best friend she said her mom says if I start to date him I would no longer be welcomed into there house and then brought up the girl code and I still feel really bad but also really excited (cuz he is like really sweet and cute) but he never really liked her like that but he likes me like that so naturally I'm really excited because people say I'm beautiful but I don't believe them but when he said it fireworks exploded in my heart it started racing my palms started to get really sweaty but I still feel really bad because I might loose a friend a really good one who always looks out for me (even though I never listen to her but still) and has always been there for me and she says she doesn't mind if I go to homecoming with him (gosh I still can't believe HE asked ME! ) I still feel bad but we have the same interests and they have nothing in common we love rock music she likes country it's just so confusing. Please somebody help me!!

And I never have, never would date someone a friend had dated. Did your friend date him OR just "like" him?

And, yes, I believe in the girl code. If you are talking about Homecoming Dances in this manner my feeling is that you are talking about high school. There will be plenty of other boys in your life (particularly if people are telling you all the time that you are beautiful). I don't know if you'll find another female who always has your back.

Of course, you'll already said yes so the question is moot.

Talk to the boy about this so it doesn't case unknown drama for him,make sure he knows the details.Also talk to your friend with him (group discussion) so you all know what's okay and what bounderies are not to be crossed.Also if you 'friend' mum is 'bulling' you ,you should talk to her about your side of the story
