All day everything has been fine between me and my wife. I had been doing chores outside most of the day. I was almost done, so I went inside to talk to her about what she wanted for supper and she said she wasn't sure yet. We talked about some newspaper articles and then I went outside to put my stuff away. I walked back inside and now I get the cold shoulder. She will not respond to me at all. She will not even say I love you. I have no idea what happened, if I did something or if someone else did something.

She does get quiet when she gets upset, and it is rare that she gets upset with me, but I am the type person that doesn't like contreversy and I always want to make sure I am there for her and if I did something, I want to make it right.

I am at my wits end here because she has never withheld I love you, even if she was mad at me. I can't help think that I did something, but I seriously have no idea what I may have done. It could be something that someone else did, but I'm not sure.

Any advice?

Did you straight out ask her what the problem might be?

I did ask, and she said she didn't want to talk about it.

I started a long list of questions, and gave up. I would hug her and hold her silently until something happens, maybe hum You Are My Sunshine and do a slow waltz around the room while holding tight.
