My ex boyfriend and I were arrested 5 yrs ago on drug charges, he went to fed prison for 3 years. My charges were dropped to a misdemeanor and probation. He got out a year ago , with 5 yrs on paper. We very much want to be together, and be married. I have never had a felony, and I am no longer on probation. Can his probation officer keep us from being together because we were arrested together? p.o. told him he could not be around any of the people he associated with before his arrest. Is this a violation?? Thank You

The conditions of his probation are written down, explained to him and then handed to him in my State. What does the rule say about "previous friends"?

If it says he cannot have contact, then, yes, he's violating.

I trust you aren't seeing each other without getting this figured out because it's possible he's violating.

Yes, it is true, not only is it true but it is common. Actually more than common I have never know it not to be done.

One of my close family members did not believe it and ended up getting revoked and served 3 years for moving in with his girlfriend who was part of the crime
