Myhair is gray now so I get it dyed at the hairdressers . I had it just the colour I wanted only getting the roots dyed every four weeks, then I decided to get highlights in which changed the over all look of the colour I was tryi g to maintain , I ended up virtually blonde with lots of red undertones . I went to hairdressers and asked her to get rid of the red , the only thing she could do is cover it all with a toner which has taken it to dark brown again , she placed a wash to kill off the red and yes in normal light it looks flat but get any sun light on it or spot light on it and it's lay denied with red and also it is so dark ,I could cry , I only got the highlights on the top because I was trying to make the darkish hair lighter brown instead of a block colour . Now I am dark which does not suit me with masses of red tone in it . I think when you have a dark toner it is still laid ended with red in it would this be the case ?
